Coronanovela Experience

At a spur of the moment Neil dared me to forego a day of review to watch the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Corona. I accepted the challenge instantly. We also called Gracie to join the adventure. So we hit the road. I actually I spent a few minutes searching Mr. Google for directions to the Senate. And so we went to the LRT Legarda station, it was past 10 am. We stopped at the LRT Recto Station and transferred to LRT 1 and alighted at the Vito Cruz Station. From there we took a jeepney ride then a multicab with a few help from good strangers.

We arrived at the Senate building past 12 noon and to our dismay, the lady guard did not allow us to go inside because no visitor’s pass were available (they were issued starting 11 am). With a few chat we were able to convince her to let us go inside to take pictures only, which she courteously acceded. Today was our lucky day because while inside, a senate guard accommodated us (thanks Mr. Antonio). He gave us a sticker/passes bearing the Senate’s seal and asked his companion to lead us to the session hall. So we witnessed the unraveling of another historic event.
